I find any argument for the exposure of women’s breasts will be subject to so much debate. And it annoys me that this is purely because in our society, breasts have become so sexualised that people are so shocked by seeing them. I mean, the majority of tribal women do not cover their breasts, and this is because breasts are foremost for feeding children. And it pisses me off that even public breastfeeding is argued against in our society. It pisses me off that a picture of a woman topless arouse comments such as “slut” “whore” etc, because it’s just benighted people being ridiculous. And once more, I come to think of little girls, who are also covered while, say, at the beach. What’s the point in that? A little boy wears trunks to hide his genitals, yes? A girl wears bottoms to hide hers. Breasts are not genitals. And furthermore, a girl of 6 does not possess any! (I won’t even get started into “lads’ mags”.) I do like this photo. It’s very good. I wish everyone realised so.
